Regulation and risk in the governance of education Managing problems of legitimation and social cohesion for competitive states
Main Article Content
Abstract
From some time now we have concentrated in our writing on the consequences of the shift in the keynesian welfare state to what we have called, following Cerny, competition states, and the effect of that shift on educational restructuring. In this paper we will be focussing particularly on the consequences of that shift for the legitimation of the system , education's part in that and the consequences of those changes for education and its own legitimation.
