After april 25th, 1974 Centre(s) and periphery(ies) of the decisions in school
Main Article Content
Abstract
Based on previous essays on schools and the education system and administration, the
author argues that some main ideas can be identified in the period after April 25th, 1974: tensions between centre(s) and periphery(ies) as far as educational and administration decisions are concerned; distinct concepts of autonomy; different realisations and perspectives about democracy and autonomy in schools. The author also argues for the need for an analytical representation of a polycentric type regarding the loci and processes of decision making in the school governments.
