Resumo

Os constructos de adaptabilidade, empregabilidade percebida e autoeficácia têm vindo a ser referenciados como ferramentas essenciais no desenvolvimento e gestão da carreira, particularmente para estudantes de ensino superior, numa fase de preparação da transição para o mundo do trabalho. Neste âmbito, a literatura tem sublinhado a importância das experiências ao trabalho na promoção de competências facilitadoras da transição para a vida profissional, ainda que os resultados dos estudos empíricos não sejam suficientemente conclusivos. O presente estudo (N = 391; 80.6% sexo feminino) teve como objetivo analisar as diferenças entre estudantes (71.6%) e trabalhadores-estudantes (28.4%), relativamente às variáveis adaptabilidade de carreira, empregabilidade percebida e autoeficácia na transição para o trabalho. Os resultados foram favoráveis aos trabalhadores estudantes para todas as variáveis analisadas. Por último, são discutidas as implicações destes resultados nas práticas de apoio à inserção profissional dos estudantes levadas a cabo pelas instituições de ensino superior.
