Paulo Freire and the neoconservative movement No Party School a critical analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this article is to discuss the current proposal of the neoconservative movement No Party School (ESP) in the light of Paulo Freire’s praxis, providing a more comprehensive and critical perception, as well as presenting Paulo Freire’s legacy as opposed to the ideas of ESP movement. From the methodology of content analysis, it makes inferences to the ESP precepts by constructing a critical reflection based on the Freire’s legacy and epistemology. Data analysis and results point to an attempt to criminalize the freethinking of classroom educators and a curtailment of critical pedagogical praxis, and the unconstitutionality of the project itself.
