Para uma visão panorâmica do campo das escolas internacionais na grande Lisboa

Resumo

O presente artigo providencia um mapeamento das escolas internacionais, na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa, a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica a nível internacional, bem como as primeiras etapas de um estudo empírico nessa região. Estas etapas, centradas na análise documental e em entrevistas a dirigentes das escolas, permitiram identificar as escolas existentes que adotam esta designação, assim como analisar alguns aspetos fundamentais tais como: o momento da fundação, a localização, a vinculação a organizações internacionais, o currículo e diplomas, a missão e objetivos expressos. Com base nestes elementos, nas derradeiras páginas, propomos uma tipologia de escolas internacionais e apontamos algumas pistas interpretativas que irão guiar os próximos passos da pesquisa.
