Centros de ciencia y su contribución al compromiso discursivo: un estudio de caso en el SESI Lab

Resumen
En este estudio cualitativo analizamos las conversaciones de tres grupos de visitantes adultos durante su interacción con el aparato Torneo del Futuro, perteneciente a la colección del SESI Lab, en Brasilia. Nuestro objetivo fue comprender cómo la actividad involucra a los visitantes en conversaciones y reflexiones sobre temas relacionados con la ciencia, la tecnología, la sociedad y el medio ambiente. Los datos se recopilaron mediante grabaciones en video realizadas con cámaras GoPro, posteriormente transcritas y sometidas a un análisis de contenido inductivo, con categorías emergentes derivadas del material empírico.
Los resultados indican que la participación discursiva se caracterizó predominantemente por intervenciones breves, en su mayoría afirmaciones directas acompañadas de justificaciones simples. Sin embargo, también surgieron momentos de colaboración social, cuando los participantes negociaron o apoyaron mutuamente sus decisiones, así como momentos de reflexividad crítica, cuando cuestionaron la lógica del juego o consideraron las implicaciones éticas y sociales de sus elecciones.
Concluimos que, aunque limitado por una dinámica binaria de decisiones rápidas, el aparato funcionó como un detonante de interacciones sociales y reflexiones, configurándose como un objeto social que amplía el potencial de los museos y centros de ciencia como espacios de diálogo y deliberación pública.
