Sophia Journal is an academic, open access, peer-reviewed journal, published by the Centre for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) - Research group Architecture, Art, and Image (AAI) at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Porto, Portugal (FAUP), in collaboration with the association Cityscopio and their publishing imprint scopio Editions.

SCOPIO Architecture, Art and Image Journal is an open access, annual, peer-reviewed journal that aims to offer critical, explorative and informative text around the universe of AAI. PSIAX: Studies and Reflections on Drawing and Image

PSIAX has been active since 2002, publishing studies and reflections on drawing and image. It is jointly run by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and EAAD - School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho, and is edited by the research units i2ADS - Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society and Lab2PT - Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory.

Hypothesis Historia Periodical

Hypothesis Historia Periodical is a double-blind peer-review international journal in the field of Alternative and Alternate History (AH), cross-referencing the theme with all areas of knowledge and expertise, from Fine Arts to Natural Sciences, from Literature to Economy. It is published in English as part of the Casa Comum of the Rectorate of the University of Porto, Portugal, and has an ISSN number.

The Public Space Journal

The Public Space Journal is a publication of the University of Porto, edited by U.Porto Press, associated with the research units CEAU, CEGOT, CIBIO and CITTA, articulating the faculties FAUP, FCUP, FEUP and FLUP. It is transversal to Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, and welcomes original scientific articles and reviews on urban space and its dynamics.

It is an innovative publication as it brings together the areas of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Territorial Planning and Urbanism.

The domain of the perspective of "futures" and the intersection between theoretical, empirical and project knowledge is of great interest and potential. Given the cross-disciplinary nature of the journal, it is also an opportunity to publish original interdisciplinary material, both written and graphic, which will be of interest to a large number of senior and junior researchers.

Project : Research — O.porto School of Architecture Research Journal is an innovative bilingual (Portuguese and English) scientific journal designed to be accessible in both digital and print formats. Published biannually by the Center for Architecture and Urbanism Studies of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto, this journal ensures a rigorous scholarly process with content subjected to a double-blind peer review. Embracing an open-access distribution model, the journal guarantees broad accessibility to its content. Our commitment is to foster intellectual discourse and contribute to the advancement of architectural knowledge by exploring the Architectural Project as a distinct form of thought and knowledge. We emphasise the equivalence between “project” and “research,” as indicated by the colon in the journal title, underscoring our dedication to highlighting the intrinsic relationship between these two concepts.

The journal firmly positions itself within the realm of Architectural Practices, structuring its content around diverse types of practices, such as Project practices, Theoretical practices, Historical practices, Territorial practices, and Representation practices. Each volume, centred on a specific theme, will be curated by two guest editors who are invited to contribute their unique perspectives and insights to the journal’s core pursuits. This approach builds upon the delicate balance between the persistence of certain issues within the discipline and the emergence and urgency posed by contemporary concerns.
