This edition proposes a critical reflection on the relationships between drawing, ecology, and spatial practices, exploring modes of perception, inscription, and visual thinking in dialogue with natural and environmental contexts.
The presentation of PSIAX #8 will be given by Joana Tinoco, landscape architect and researcher (FCUP), whose contribution engages with the conceptual and visual axes that run through this edition.

Joana Tinoco holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. She has collaborated with the Botanical Garden of the University of Porto since 2011. She is currently involved in the management and maintenance of the garden, coordinating conservation and upkeep activities. Her work focuses particularly on the study, planning, and implementation of maintenance practices aimed at promoting urban biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and the preservation of the cultural and heritage values of gardens.
PSIAX is a publication dedicated to research in drawing and image, fostering intersections between artistic practice, theoretical reflection, and academic research.
